Mr. W. Fred Sutton, age 86, Route 4, Lyons, Ga., died in Meadows Memorial Hospital in Vidalia, Sunday morning following an extended illness.

Born in Bulloch County, Mr. Sutton lived in Toombs County most of his life. He was a retired land-owner, farmer, and attended Inman Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eviedell W. Sutton, Glennville; two sons, W.D. Sutton, Jacksonville and Royce Sutton, Glennville; two daughters, Mrs. Freddie Finklea, Keystone Heights, Fla., and Mrs. Joan Atkinson, Jacksonville; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Roby McGuire and Mrs. Alma Mann, Jacksonville, Miss Gladys Sutton, Lyons and Mrs. Johnnie Will Dutton, Lyons; also a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were conducted Tuesday morning at 11:00 from Inman Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Elder Gilbert Cribbs officiated.

Pallbearers were Hayden Jones, Robert Jones, Bill Jones, Curtis Jones, O.C. Howell, and James Sanders. Jones-Stewart Funeral Home of Lyons was in charge of arrangements.
