ALBERT SHIMEK

Albert Shimek, 85, of Reedsville, died Saturday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Reedsville Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville. A con-celebrated Mass will be held with the Rev. John Neuser the celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Military graveside rites will be accorded Mr. Shimek by Gosz-Novak American Legion Post No. 199 of Reedsville.

Mr. Shimek was born July 29, 1889, in the Town of Maple Grove, son of the late Albert and Katherina Micha Shimek. He was a veteran of World War I.
He married Mary Stradal Jan. 13, 1920, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. His wife preceded him in death in August of 1974. He had been employed at BIW of Brillion, retiring in 1955.

Survivors include four sons, Milton of Brillion, Rev. Andrew, S.D.SW., a U.S. Army chaplain, Paul and Henry of Reedsville; five daughters, Mrs. Joel (Mary) Thompson and Mrs. Mike (Dorothy) O’Neil, of Valders, Mrs. Lester (Sylvia) Zipperer, and Mrs. Paul (Kathryn) Braun of Cato and Mrs. Harold (Mabel) Bodart of Reedsville. ; 44 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. An infant son, four brothers, two sisters, and two granddaughters preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Reedsville Funeral Home from 3 to 9 o'clock this Monday afternoon. The Rosary will be recited there at 3 o'clock and 8 o'clock.
