She met and married Edmund Hendley Richards JR. [1806]. He had migrated into Tennessee in 1814 with his parents from his native Franklin County Virginia. Together they had their first child Elizabeth [1830] before leaving for Illinois and Macoupin County.
Nancy and Edmund settled east of the Palmyra/Modesto area on Otter Lake where their land was located. They raised their young and lived there for the remainder of their earthly lives.
