"Mrs. Mathilda Hartzke, 88, former Weyauwega resident, of Naperville, Ill., died Monday at Naperville after a 5-month illness. She was born Sept. 17, 1871, in Posen, Germany, and came to the United States in 1894.
"Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran church, Weyauwega, with burial in Oakwood cemetery, Weyauwega. Friends may call at Harrigan Funeral home, Weyauwega, after 7:30 p.m. today.
"Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Obed Doede, Naperville; three sons, Max, Oshkosh, Otto, Weyauwega, and Sgt. Edwin, Japan; two brothers, Augus[t] Doede, Michigan, and Richard, Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Amelia Reech, West Bloomfield, and Mrs. Alvina Ernst, Clintonville; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren."
