Mueller, Richard F.

Richard F. Mueller, age 94, a resident of the Villa at Felician Village, Manitowoc, died Saturday morning, July 19, 2014 at the Villa.

He was born on November 30, 1919 in Manitowoc, son of the late John & Ida (Pfeffer) Mueller. Richard was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1937. He then entered the United States Navy serving during World War II overseas from 1942 - 1945. On April 22, 1944 he married the former Jeanne L. Koskamp at St. Mary Catholic Church, Evanston, Illinois. She preceded him in death on January 6, 2006. Richard was employed with Wisconsin Telephone for 38 years as a repair technician. Richard loved harness racing and was a member of the U.S. Trotting Association. He was also a member of the Wisconsin Telephone Company (Pioneers), V.F.W. Otto Oas Post #659 and the American Legion Drews Bleser Post #88.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: James & Carole Mueller, Austin, MN, Michael & Rebecca Mueller, Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law: Barbara & Dr. Eric Puestow, Jacksonville, FL; seven grandchildren: Lindsay (Trent) Brown, Travis (Danielle) Mueller, Katherine (Parin) Shah, Eric (Katie) Puestow, Jenny (Josh) Norris, Ryan Mueller and Lindsay Powalisz; and five great grandchildren: Elise Brown, Miles Brown, Greyson Mueller, Ayela Mueller and Grace Holland. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and sisters-in-law: Eugene & Winnie Mueller, Harold & Florence Mueller, Paul & Violet Mueller, Donald & Ellen Mueller; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Germaine & Larry Geiger, Virginia & Frank Vukmann, Mildred & Eugene DeMuth; a sister-in-law: Joan Koskamp; and a brother-in-law: George Koskamp.

Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo - 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Paul DeMuth with burial of the cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by V.F.W. Otto Oas Post #659.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo - 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 25, until 10:45 a.m.
