Peter Dykstra, 67, of Hull died suddenly Wednesday, May 18, 1988, in a hospital in Rock Valley. Services were held Saturday, May 21 in the First Reformed Church in Hull. Burial was in Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Dykstra was born March 25, 1921, in Perkins. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On March 26, 1948, he married Grace Leusink at Hull. The couple made their home in Hull where he operated Dykstra Produce, which later became a division of Milton G. Waldbaum Co. In 1984, he semi-retired. Mr. Dykstra was a member of Hope Christian Reformed Church of Hull where he served on the Consistory as a deacon. He was also a member Wegman-Koele Post 380. American Legion and Disabled American Veterans. He was a former member of the board of Directors of Western Christian High School.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Helaine and Nancy; two sons Timothy and John; three sisters, Gertrude, Stella and Jeanette; three brothers, Dick, Arthur and Harold; and four grandchildren.
