Kenneth Warren Martin, 41, a state Conservation Department fire officer, died Sunday at his home in Standish after a three-year illness.
He was born Jan. 4, 1921, in Billings Township, and lived in that area until seven years ago when he moved to Standish. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Standish.
He was married to the former Margaret Erway in Beaverton on August 6, 1947.
Survivors include his widow, Margaret; one daughter, Sandra, and one son, David, both at home; his father, Irvin Martin; four sisters, Mrs. Marian Branscom, Mrs. Virginia Haney, and Mrs. Goldie Morse, of Midland; and Mrs. Gladys Clark, of Wisconsin; four brothers, Victor, of Hockaday, Harold, of Billings Township, and Ernest and Richard, of Midland.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. from the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Standish, with the REv. Theodore Fry officiating. Burial will be in Billings Cemetery. Hall Funeral Home is in charge of the services. Gladwin County Record dated 5-23/1962.
