Adolph was a son of Val & Mary PTASCHINSKI and was born in Posen, Prussia (now known as Poznan, Poland). He came to the United states with his parents, took up farming in the Township of Westford and in 1862 was married to Maria IMHOFF, daughter of a Beaver Dam gunsmith, John IMHOFF through his first wife, Elizabeth STAUB. Adolph and Maria PTASCHINSKI's descendants are numerous, as they had ten children that grew to adulthood - Catherine, Maria, John, Frank, Anna, Augusta, Elizabeth, Joseph, Rose and Arthur.

DIED - PTASCHINSKI - At his home on South Spring street, Sixth Ward, Friday, September 30, 1905, Mr. Adolph Ptaschinski, aged 67 years.

Deceased was born in Poland April 26, 1838, and came to Beaver Dam in 1857. In 1862 he was united in marriage to Miss Maria Imhoff, who with nine children survive to mourn their loss. The children are Joseph, Adolph and Rose at home, John Ptaschinski, Mrs. Andrew Schweiger and Mrs. George Fischer of Beaver Dam, Mrs. Jacob Graff of the town of Westford, Mrs. Harry Sheldon of Janesville, and Mrs. Mary Fritze, of Parkston, S. D. The funeral was held Tuesday from St. Peter's church.
