John Ptaschinski, 715 S. Spring street, passed away in death at five o'clock Monday morning at the age of 59 years. Death followed an illness of five months. Recently Mr. Ptaschinski underwent a surgical operation at Madison General Hospital in the hope of obtaining relief from his ailment.
John Ptaschinski was born in the town of Westford on September 14th, 1867, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Ptaschinski. On February 11th, 1888, he was united in marriage with Theresa Eichenseer of Fredonia, Wis., and shortly afterward they came to this city to reside, having made their home here since that time.
He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Anton Shebelski of this city. There are also four grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters surviving: Frank, Arthur, and Joseph Ptaschinski, Mrs. Andrew Schweiger, Mrs. George Fischer, Mrs. Mary Graff of this city, Mrs. Mary Brown of Merrill and Mrs. Harry Sheldon of Janesville.
Funeral services were held at St. Peter's church at nine o'clock yesterday morning, where he had been a life-long, faithful member. The interment was in St. Peter's cemetery and Rev. Fr. George J. Muenzer officiated.
