Arthur was a son of Adolph PTASCHINSKI and Maria IMHOFF. He never married. He lived in Beaver Dam and during prohibition he ran a "soft drink parlor" at 227 Front Street and was arrested under the Volstead Act (like many other such operators in the area) for selling alcoholic beverages.

Arthur, although buried in his father's cemetery plot, his space does not have a stone monument.

Arthur Ptaschinski of this city passed away in death at St. Joseph hospital at one o'clock Monday afternoon after an illness of ten weeks. He was in the fifty-sixth year of his age. Funeral services were held at St. Peter church, Rt. Rev. Monsigneur Theo. Rohner conducting the services following brief services at the Briese & Heilmann funeral home. The remains were intered in St. Peter cemetery.
He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Ptaschinski and was born in the town of Calamus on July 21st, 1899. He attended St. Peter parochial school, and had lived in this city since the age of five years.
The following three sisters and a brother survive him: Mrs. Mary Graff, Beaver Dam; Mrs. Rose Brown of Merrill, Wis.; Mrs. Andrew Schweiger of this city, and Joseph Ptaschinski, also of this city. His parents, three brothers, John, Frank and Matthew Ptaschinski, and three sisters, Mrs. Kate Aukofer, Mrs. Anna Fischer and Mrs. Augusta Sheldon, preceded him in death.
