Mrs. Caroline Johanna Monsen Jensen, 73, of Magna and formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died in a Salt Lake hospital of a heart ailment.
She was the widow of Andrew S. Jensen, who died in September 1941. Born in Mt. Pleasant, March 15, 1869, Mrs. Jensen grew up there and was married to Mr. Jensen March 29 1866. They were married in Manti LDS temple. Until ill health interrupted her work, she was active in various LDS church auxiliaries.
Surviving Mrs. Jensen are 11 sons and daughters; Alvin A. and Cannon P. Jensen, of Axtell; J. Seymour and J. Maurice Jensen of Mt. Pleasant.; J. Russell Jensen of Magna; Mrs. William E. Rasmussen of Salt Lake City; Mrs. George Beagley, Mrs. Wilford Ransen, Mrs. Aften Christensen and Mrs. Ed A. Martin of Magna and Mrs. Boyd Navine of Clearfield; 38 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, James Monson of Hiawatha; eight sisters, Mrs. Stella Madsen of Manti; Mrs. Marlene Beck of Aberdeen, Idaho; Mrs. Joane Jorgensen of Ephraim; Mrs. Wilford West, Mrs. Joseph Johansen, Mrs. Nora McIntosh, Mrs. Sophia Johansen and Mrs. O. M. Aldrich of Mt. Pleasant.
