Peter Monsen was the son of Peter and Anne Kerstine Christensen Mogensen (Monsen). He married Fannie Catherine Gilman on May 23, 1900 in Mount Pleasant, Utah. Among their chiledren were: Peter Leon, James Geln, Farrel Lavern, Annie Mildred, Thelma Caroline, Francis Gilman, Fannie Alene and twins Verna Joyce and Vera Monsen.
