Rexford “Rex” Lowe, 74, went home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2015 at his home.
Rex was born on August 6, 1940 in Smoky Junction, Tennessee to Russell and Erva Lowe. He served in the United States Army for 22 years and received a bachelor degree from the Baptist College of Florida. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Chipley, Florida,
He was preceded in death by his parents: Russell and Erva Lowe; son: James Patrick Lowe.
He is survived by his loving of 42 years Theresa Lowe of Chipley, FL; four sons: Russell Lowe of Cleveland, Ohio, James Williams and wife Carol of Durita, Louisiana, John Williams and wife Allison of Baltimore, Maryland, Stephen Lowe and wife Christina of Virginia, Virginia; brother: Floyd Lowe of Indiana; two sisters: Elsie of Oregon and Mazel Thompson of Tennessee; cousin: Dennis Goodman of Smokey Junction, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; ten grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Chipley with Rev. Mike Orr officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Obert Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to the First Baptist building fund.
