Hazel Lowe Mays age 85 of Oneida departed this life on Monday, August 13, 2012 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. Born on July 24, 1927 to the late Russell and Erva Lowe.

In addition to her parents she wa s preceded in death by her husband James Mays; daughter Sharon Mays; brothers Jacob Lowe, Herbert Lowe, Onva Lowe; 2 grandchildren Melanie Northern, and Dennis Dean Newell Jr.

Survived by 2 sons Mike Mays of Loveland, OH and Ronnie Mays of Oneida; 2 sisters Elsie Fordice of Winston, OR, Mazel Thompson of Oneida; 2 brothers Floyd Lowe of Winchester, IN, Rexford Lowe of Graceville, FL; 6 grandchildren Sherrie Newell, Jennifer Newell, Heather Ali, Ronnie Coldiron, Ryan Mays, Angel Melger; 15 great grandchildren, 1 great-great child; special friends; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Mays family on Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 12:00 (noon) until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Rexford Lowe officiating. Interment will follow in the Cooper Memorial Cemetery.
