Mrs. Sarah Shearer Miller, wife of Edward R. Miller, was born February 22, 1865, and died September 5, 1940, aged 75 years, 6 months, and 13 days.
Mrs. Miller was so well and favorably known around the Stone Church that her home going brought sadness into many hearts. She had a kind word for everybody. She was beloved by all who knew her.
She was a faithful member of the Lutheran congregation, and of the Sunday School, at the Stone Church.
The funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon, September 8, 1940. Burial at the Stone Church.
The Friendly Visitor by Rev. Paul D. Yoder
SARAH A. MILLER, wife of Edward Miller, Sticks, died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Krebs, aged 75 years, after an illness of more than a year, a goodly portion of which she was bedfast. The cause of death was a stroke.
Mrs. Miller was a saintly mother and devoted wife.
She leaves to mourn her going: her husband, a daughter, Sadie Krebs, sons Clement, George, Alpheus, and Paul Miller, numerous grandchildren, a sister Mrs. Jacob Shaffer, a brother George Shearer.
Funeral services were held Sept. 8, from the home and at St. Jacobs Church where a large audience gathered. She was a life-long, faithful member of this Church and Sunday School. Burial followed in the new cemetery.
