Germaine A. Geiger, age 84, a resident of Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc, died Sunday morning, September 18, 1994, at the home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, 1994, at the Pfeffer Funeral home and 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Concelebrating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William Zimmer and her Godson and nephew, Rev. Paul Demuth with entombment to follow in the Calvary Chapel Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
She was born March 12, 1910, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and Ida Pfeffer Mueller. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School class of 1928. She was employed as a private secretary at Invincible Metal Furniture Company of Manitowoc prior to her marriage. She married Lawrence J. Geiger on June 11, 1934, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc, the couple just celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Geiger was a lifetime member of the International Shipmasters Associating Auxiliary Lodge #18, past member of the Sacred Heart Rosary and Altar Society and was a volunteer at North Ridge Health Care Center and Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 15 years leading the weekly rosary.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence J. Geiger, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Walter Aumann, Brookfield; three sons and four daughters-in-law, Charles and Joanne Geiger, Manitowoc, John and Carol Geiger, Trego, Wis., Thomas and Connie Geiger, Oxford, Wis., a special daughter-in-law, Rosie Geiger, Two Rivers; two sisters, Mildred Demuth, Manitowoc, Virginia Vukman, Dixon, Calif.; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Florence Mueller, Manitowoc, Paul and Violet Mueller, Hemet, Calif., Richard and Jeanne Mueller, Manitowoc, Donald and Ellen Mueller, Hendersonville, N.X.; 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angela Mae, two brothers, John and Eugene, and a sister Eunice.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 1994, where a Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. by Sister Michael.
Memorials may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Shady Lane Home.
