Woodrow was the Maternal Great-grandson of the late Curtis (b. 1838) & Mary Miller-Coady of Bath Springs. And the Paternal Great-Grandson of John (b. 1805 VA) & Elizabeth (b. 1806 SC) Bingham.

Woodrow was the Paternal grandson of the late Leonidas E. (CSA) & Julia Francis Coady-Bingham of Bath Springs. His Maternal Grandparents were George & Lessie Wallace-Woody of Bath Springs, Tennessee.

Woodrow was the son of John Gideon "Gid" & Bessie A. Woody-Bingham.

He was raised in Henderson County in the Ebenezer Community between Scotts Hill and Reagan, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Woodrow married Ortha Lomax of Decatur County, Tennessee and they moved to Alabama where he and Ortha raised their two sons.

They married 22 August 1942. They celebrated their 50th anniversary with their family and friends in 1992, the year Woodrow's brother (L.E.) passed.

Woodrow and Ortha lived in the Tuscaloosa Alabama area.

Woodrow would die of the same cancer as the one that had already taken the lives of his sister (Liness) and his brother (L.E.). As would his sister, Marie, on 15 August 2016.

After Woodrow's Funeral Service at Gilgal Baptist Church he was laid to rest on Thursday 14 November 1996 at Memory Hill Gardens in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Rest In Peace.

(From Woodrow's Funeral Card)
"One gift, above all others
God gives to us to treasure
One that knows no time, no place
And gold cannot measure.

The precious, poignant, tender gift
Of memory that will keep
Our dear ones ever in our hearts
although God gives them sleep.

It brings back long-remembered things
A song, a word, a smile
And our world's a better place because
We had them for awhile!"
