"IN LOVING MEMORY
In loving memory of Ruby Bingham. She was born Feb. 11, 19[19] and departed this life Sept. [16], 1933, being 13 years, 7 months and 7 days. She was the daughter of Gib ([sic]Gid) and Bessie Bingham. Besides her broken hearted father and mother, she leaves eight brothers and three sisters to mourn her [d]eath.

We can never forget her face
Usually with us at every place,
But we know that she is at rest.

Resting now day and night
Troubles are over and all is bright.
[T]hen we will try not to weep
[O]nly because she has fallen asleep.

When we saw her casket
[L]ying so still and quiet
You seem to be an angel, Ruby,
With snowy wings of white.

We loved you, oh so dearly,
You were so kind and good
Why you had to leave us
We have not yet understood.

The family circle has been broken
And time can never mend
But we can put our trust in Jesus
And on him we can depend.

The flowers we laid on your grave
May wither and decay
But the love we have for Ruby
Will never fade away.

Oh, just beyond the river
There is a land so fair and bright
Where there is joy and happiness
[F]or it is never night

The earth has lost its look of gladness
And heaven seems more bright
Since dear Ruby
Took her homeward flight.

So we'll journey through this life
But sad and lonely [ . . . ] hearts
Always mourn [ . . . ]
From whom [ . . . ]

But at the [ . . . ]
So happy [ . . . ]
For we [ . . . ]"

"MEMORY OF RUBY BINGHAM
Ruby Bingham daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. D. ([sic]J.G.) Bingham, sweetly fell asleep in the arms of to the Lord. Sunday morning, Sept. 17, 1933, at 5 o'clock, just as the dawn of a beautiful day. She was born near Scotts Hill February, 1920. She was a dear. devoted girl friend and will be sadly missed by her friends as well as her parents and other relatives. She left to mourn her departure a dear father and moth[er], eight brothers and three sisters. Three sisters having preceded her to the grave.

The funeral was held [a]t Ebenezer the day following her death and was conducted by Rev. L. J. Thompson, and her body was lowered in the bosom of mother earth there to await the judgement, and the mound was covered with beautiful flowers.

Ruby was attending school at Ebenezer and was in the eighth grade and will be missed by her teacher and schoolmates. She also attended Sunday School at Ebenezer Church.

A little girl sleeps over the hills
Where the soft sun shines
On the bed of green
Where the sound wind sings
And the long years keep
Its guard on the scene
A little girl lies in a slender bed
Roses about her songs over head.

She went away with a smile on her lips
As warm as the fr[ . . . ]
[ . . . ]
[ . . . ]
