David Keith Shepard, age 68 of Anderson and formerly of Elwood, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Manor Care Health Center in Anderson following a brief illness. He was born on April 9, 1947 in Elwood the son of Vernon and Mary (Crull) Shepard. David was self-employed as a roofer for over 30 years in the surrounding area. He was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed watching television – especially the Andy Griffith Show and Gunsmoke.

David’s surviving family includes 4 children, Beverly Shepard, Jody Shepard, David Shepard, Jr., and Douglas Shepard; 2 brothers, Arnold (wife Diane) Shepard of Frankton and Charles “Chuck” (wife Jean) Shepard of Elwood; and sister, Roberta (husband Phil) Roe of Tipton; and caretaker and friend, James Call.

Funeral services celebrating David’s life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Mary Hofer officiating. Burial in Hobbs Cemetery in Tipton County.
