Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 1st at Verdigris Valley Christian Fellowship in Altoona with Pastor Jim Raymond officiating. Burial will be at Ross Cemetery in rural Neodesha following the service.
Family will receive visitors from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Verdigris Valley Christian Fellowship. Memorials are suggested to the Fredonia Regional Hospital Foundation and may be left with the funeral home.
Theta was born June 14, 1941 in Neodesha, the daughter of John and Erma ''Tiny'' (Hallbauer) Schoonover. She was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Theta spent most of her life in the clothing business. She owned and operated DeVoe's Duds clothing store in Eureka, Kansas for 20 years. She enjoyed playing golf in her spare time.
She is survived by four children; Christy Springer, Neodesha, Stephen DeVoe Sr., Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Sheri Julich, Humboldt and Rhonda DeVoe, Wichita; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services are in the care of Loran Fawcett Chapel, Neodesha, Kansas.
