Raymond B. Carter, 80, of Broken Bow, died Friday, Nov. 28, at De Queen, Ark.

He was born Nov. 15, 1917, at De Queen, Ark.

Carter was the son of Ben and Effie Carter.

He and Julia Farley were married July 20, 1940, at Idabel, and he was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Murray, Forest, Maurice, Weldon and Cecil; and one sister, Vernie Bell.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Carter of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Barbara Carter of Holly Creek and Randy and Debbie Carter of Oklahoma City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Ron Brock of Broken Bow and Judy and Jerry Brown of Battiest; one brother, Wilburn Carter of Meade; one sister, Genova Loyd of Horatio, Ark.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Norwood-Leonard Chapel, Broken Bow, with the Rev. Cletus Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
