FREAK MISHAP IS FATAL FOR B.F. CARTER
Limb Catches In Power Belt Of Home Saw
A freak accident Tuesday proved fatal to Ben F. Carter, about 68, at his home one mile west and 1/2 mile south of Broken Bow.
Carter was sawing wood with his son, Forrest Carter, on a saw powered by a tractor, when a limb caught by the power belt, knocking him to the ground and striking him in the back of the head as it made the second round.
He died at his residence between 10 and 11 a.m.
Srvivors include his widow; three other sons, Maurice, Wilbur and Cecil; one daughter, Geneva Lee.
Funeral arrangements, under the direction of Wilson funeral home, were not complete at press time.
