ALAN MAURICE CARTER

Maurice Carter, Tampa, Fla., died Saturday at his home from an extended illness. Funeral services were held today in Tampa.
He was born October 3, 1928 at Lukfata, Oklahoma to the late Ben and Effie Carter.
He attended school at Holly Creek, Redland, and Haworth, in Oklahoma. He graduated from Broken Bow High School, McCurtain County, Oklahoma.
He was a member of the Baptist Church and a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnne of the home; two sons, Gary, Tampa and Ronnie, Orlando; two daughters, Vickie, New York and Cindy, Florida; three brothers, Weldon, Idabel, Okla., Raymond, Broken Bow, Okla., and Wilburn, Mead, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. John Bell, Holly Creek and Genova Loyd, De Queen, Ark.; and seven grandchildren.
