Andrew was the son of John W. Johnson and Margaret Daniel Nash. He married Mary "Mollie" Elizabeth Lambert (daughter of Paris George Lambert and Jemima Isophene "Minnie" McFarland.) Andrew was a farmer.

Funeral services for Andy Jackson Johnson, 70, who died yesterday morning at his home in Falls Mills, will be held at his residence at 2:30 Monday afternoon.
The Rev. Mr. Dennis, of Falls Mills, will officiate at the services, and burial will follow at the Johnson Cemetery near the home.
Active pallbearers will be Gus Compton, J.B. Holley, Arthur Comby, Clinton Tabor, Deno Janutolo, J.E. Danley, Grat Compton and Lloyd Holley.
The deceased was a son of the late John W. and Margaret Johnson, Falls Mills [area]. He leaves his wife, the former Mollie Lambert and the following sisters: Mrs. Frank Mooring of Huntington [WV]; Mrs. Frank Benson, of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. William Calfee, of Bluefield. He was a brother of the late John Johnson of Falls Mills.
