JOHN T. JOHNSON
Death occurred suddenly at 2:30 o'clock yesterday morning to John T. Johnson, 73, widely known and prosperious farmer of Falls Mills, who died at his home of a heart ailment.
Last rites will be conducted at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon at the home with the Rev. George W. West, pastor of the Virginia Side Christian Church officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. M.C. Hughes. Burial will follow at a nearby cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be the following nephews: Lem, M.M., J.C., R.W., James and Paul Tabor; W.F. Perkins and W.W. Tickle.
Flower bearers will be neices of the deceased.
Mr. Johnson was born in the Falls Mills neighborhood and had spent his entire life there. He was a son of the late John W. and Margaret (Nash) Johnson.
Surviving are his wife, who before marriage was Miss Amanda Furrow of Belsprings, Va.; a brother, Andy Johnson of Falls Mills, and four sisters: Mrs. William Calfee, Bluefield, W.Va.; Mrs. F.B. Mooring and Mrs. Annie Goolsby, of Huntington; and Mrs. Frank Benson of Detroit.
Mr. Johnson was a member of the church at Falls Mills.
