A. L. Blauser Succumbs In Erie
Albert Lewis Blauser, 68, former resident of Venus, died at 6:35 p.m. Monday in Doctor's Osteopathic Hospital in Erie. Mr. Blauser had been making his home in Erie with his daughter, Mrs. George A. Byers of 413 Peninsula Drive. Born September 20, 1876, at President, he was a son of Charles and Emma Lintz Blauser. He was employed as a field man for United Natural Gas Company for 30 years prior to his retirement. Mr. Blauser and the former Nora Belle Benninger were married October 3, 1898. She died June 30, 1940. He married the former Emma Confer, September 24, 1942. She died March 17, 1963. He was a member of the Venango Evangelical United Bretheran Church. Also Mr. Blauser was a member of the IOOF Lodge of Venus. Surviving is his daughter, Mrs. George A. (Arlene) Byers of Erie; a son, James A. Blauser of Oil City; three brothers, Enos Blauser of Oil City RD 2, Ivan Blauser of Cutler, Ohio, and Sidney Blauser of West Virginia; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A son, Vance Burton Blauser, died in 1963. Friends may call at the Hutchinson and Morton Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. Charles H. A. Woods, pastor of the Venus EUR Church, officiating. Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery.
