Rev CF Stevens, the father of Paul C Stevens of Rapid City, died Sunday at Denver, Colorado, following a lengthy illness. The former pastor of South Broadway Christian Church at Denver died at the age of 88. He had retired six years ago. Born in Iowa, Rev Stevens was educated at the teachers college in Albany MO, at Drake University at Des Moines, and received his doctor of theology degree from the University of Nebraska. His wife preceded him in death. In addition to a son who is superintendent of the Rapid city Public School System, Rev Stevens is survived by another son, Charles C Stevens of Denver; and three daughters, Mrs Rex Murphy and Mrs Elmer E Strain, both of Denver and Mrs Edith Boyd of Gering NE. Funeral services in Denver are pending.
