William Orin Stevens 77, Exline passed away Friday, January 4, at 6:30 pm at St Joseph Hospital. He had been in failing health for three years. He was a farmer and a coal miner and had lived in Appanoose County most of his life. he was born near Centerville July 11, 1885, and was the son of William Benjamin Stevens and Elizabeth Stark Stevens. He was married to Mary Martha Rice at Exline on Feb 22, 1906. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his widow, a son, Vernon of Davenport, three daughters, Mrs. Glen Gladfelder and Mrs. Audrey Gladfelder of Centerville, and Mrs. Larry Maitland of Rockford Illinois; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and a brother Pearly of Denver, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and rive brothers. The body was taken to the Miller-W Funeral Home and services were held there today at 2 pm. Burial was at Exline Cemetery
