Rephord Joe Plumlee was born May 8, 1937, in Tuttle, Oklahoma, to Calvin Poynor Plumlee and Elgiva (Hestand) Plumlee. He passed from this life on January 10, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.


Joe moved to Stratford, Oklahoma, where he met his wife Carole Frances (Williams) Plumlee in 1960, moved to Tuttle around 1966, and raised their 4 boys.


Joe had a heart for motorcycles and raised all of his sons to love riding. He especially loved his Gold Wing when he started taking road trips as a widower with some riding buddies. In early 2011, Joe reconnected with his high school sweetheart, (both graduated from Tuttle High School in 1955) and, after 50 years of being apart since high school, Joe married his sweetheart, Joy Ann McFall, on December 17, 2011.


Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Poynor Plumlee and Elgiva (Hestand) Plumlee; four brothers: Hubert Lee Plumlee, Louis Edward Plumlee, Calvin Vernon Plumlee, and Donald Wayne Plumlee; wife, Carole Francis (Williams) Plumlee and mother of their sons; wife, Cecilia Marie (Berumen) Plumlee; son, Dennis Joe Plumlee; and grandson, Billy Don Plumlee, Jr.


He is survived by his wife, Joy Ann (McFall) Plumlee of Edmond, OK; brother, Billy Paul Plumlee of Tuttle, OK; sister, Helen Louise (Plumlee) Wood of Tuttle, OK; sons: Ronnie Plumlee and wife Jamie of Oklahoma City, OK, Bill Plumlee and wife Jeana of Tuttle, OK, and Mitch Plumlee and wife Angie of Tuttle, OK; grandchildren: Chase Plumlee and wife Amanda of Mustang, OK, Jerry Anderson Plumlee of Medicine Park, OK, Matthew Plumlee of Oklahoma City, OK, Steven Plumlee and wife Ruth of Chickasha, OK, Joseph Plumlee of Oklahoma City, OK, Brandy Plumlee of Norman, OK, Crystal Foster and husband Scott of Soper, OK, and Brandon Plumlee and wife Ayla of Hennessey, OK; great-grandchildren: Austin, Cody, Kyle, Cassie, Otto, Teagan, Trip, Dax, Alivia, Carson, and Temperance; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his wife's sisters and their husbands: Ralph and Debra DeBartelo of Edmond, OK, Henry and Edna Braker of Bella Vista, AR, and Patsy (Miller) McFall of Edmond, OK, and a number of devoted nieces and nephews.
