Claud Alton Bolander entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 30, 2016 in The Woodlands, Texas at the age of 90.

He was born on September 15, 1925 to his parents, Claud and Ellen Bolander of Lee County, Texas.

He was the oldest sibling of eight children.

Claud is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pauline Bolander; sisters, Elvira McMillan, Laverne Griffin, Lillian McDaniel, Florence Gatlin, and brother, J.T. Bolander. He is survived by his daughters, Betty Morrow of Spring, Karla Bolander of Spring, and Charlene Bolander of Spring; sisters, Marguerite Allphin and husband, Noble of Bryan, Lina Kelly and husband, Coleman of Bullard along with a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Claud was a loving husband for 55 years and father of three daughters who lived his life faithfully serving Jesus. His involvement in church including teaching Sunday School, serving as a deacon for 34 years, working with Volunteer Christian Builders, assisting in mission trips, van transportation ministry, and assisting church members to doctor appointments and treatments. He worked for Southern Pacific Transportation Co. for 42 and a half years before retiring as a chief demerge clerk. One of his loves was to work in the yard and enjoy nature. Claud enjoyed bowling with league teams in the Oak Ridge area and walking daily at least 2-4 miles at The Woodlands Mall. His smile always made the nurses and aides' day during his hospital and rehab stays. One of the greatest days for Claud was receiving his High School diploma from Dimebox, Texas in May of 2007 since he was drafted into WWII during his senior year.

Claud will be missed by his family and friends, but will want each of us to continue our living serving Jesus and being faithful to God.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 3, from 6:00-8:00pm. Services will be held on Thursday, February 4 at 11:00am in the chapel of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home.
