Mamie Harris Burton Motley and her twin brother Jim were born on March 3, 1916, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to the parents of John Robert Harris and Rosella Willis Harris.

She married Milton BUrton and they had three sons and two daughters.

Mamie later married Hudell Orville Motley on February 26, 1957, in Kings County, California.

She shared childhood memories with fourteen siblings.

Mamie died on September 14, 1996, in Lemoore, California, at the age of 80.

Preceded Mamie in death was a son: Elmer Joe 'Didlo' Burton, her parents John Robert Harris and Rosella Willis Harris; siblings: Elenna Howard, Robert 'Art' Harris, Eddie Harris, Juanita Blakeney, Ramie Anderson and Johnnie Harris.

Cherishing Mamie's memory are her husband Hudell Motley; children: Myrthal Jean Burton, Willie Theodish Burton, Erda Lorine Burton and Hubert Burt 'Poor Boy' Burton. Many grand and great grandchildren.

Siblings: her twin brother James 'Jim' Harris, Evvie Edwards, Roberta Coney, William 'Bill' Harris, Earl Harris, Joyce Lewis, Almeda Johnson & Iva Lee Lofton. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
