Marlin R. Matznick, 77, of Marytown, died Tuesday evening, April 26, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.
He was born on October 15, 1938 in the Town of Schleswig, son of the late Ralph & Eldora (Schnell) Matznick.Marlin was a Kiel High School graduate.He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.Marlin had previously been married to Dianne (Schneider) Luchterhand.He worked at Bordens, Plymouth, Arps Co., New Holstein and operated Matznick's Bar in Marytown with his brother, Allen from 1976 until 1986. He also worked at Roads to Freedom and retired from Weber's Meat Market in Pipe.He was a member of the Improved Order of Redmen, Marytown, Tribe #52, Vintage Steel Calumetville Tractor Club and Chilton German-American Society.Marlin enjoyed woodworking, fishing, gardening and helped with meat butchering for his family and friends.
Survivors include his four sons: Jeffrey (Cynthia) Matznick, Michael Matznick, Daniel Matznick, Tony Matznick and two grandchildren; Jacob (Julie) Matznick and Amanda Matznick. He is further survived two brothers; Willard (Tharcilla) Matznick, Ronald (Sally) Matznick, one brother-in-law, Arnold Kabat, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Alice Kabat, Carol (Herbert) Messman and one brother, Allen Matznick.
Burial will take place in Ucker Point Cemetery, Town of Schleswig.
