Mrs Kilgore Passes Away This Morning

Mrs. Myrtle A. Kilgore, 86 former resident of Elwood, died this morning at 7:47 A.M. at the Community hospital, Anderson, after a long illness. She had been living with a daughter on route 1 Alexandria.
She was born May 15, 1880 in Raleigh, the daughter of William F. and Mary Saul. She married Joseph A. Kilgore, June 18 1902. He died in October of 1929.
She was a member of the Grace Methodist church in Elwood and Woodmen's circle. She had lived in the Elwood and Alexandria community for the past 68 years.
Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Mildred Barrett, route 1 Alexandria; and a son Milo Kilgore of Elwood, nine grand-children and 16 great grand-children.
The body is at the Karl M. Kyle funeral home in Alexandria where friend may call after 7 o'clock Thursday evening.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at the Grace Methodist church. Rev. Roscoe Phenegar pastor, will officiate. Burial will be made in the Elwood City cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the service.
