Mildred I. Barrett
Alexandria - Mrs. Mildred I. Barrett, 74, Rt. 1, Alexandria, died Sunday evening in Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, following an extended illness.
A native of Elwood, she had lived most of her life in Alexandria.
He husband, William, died in 1969. She was a seamstress and a member of the Rebecca Lodge, Past Noble Grand club, the Eastside home extension club, the Summitville Surgical Dressing Unit, the Women's Democrat club, and the Epworth United Methodist Church.
Surviving is a son, Jack Barrett of Frankton; three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Jane) Carmer of Elwood, Mrs. Donald (Helen) Rinker of Alexandria and Mrs. Bill (Marilyn) Haston of Anderson; a brother Milo Kilgore of Elwood; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral rites will be at 1 P.M. Wednesday in the Karl M. Kyle Funeral Home with the Rev. Alvin Covell and the Rev. Gene Smith officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery, Alexandria.
