Edgar Earl Burge March 4, 1918, Sept. 2, 2000. This was taken from the pages of the Abilene Reporter News ALBANY, Edgar Earl Burge, 82, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, in an Abilene hospital. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at the Albany Cemetery with the Rev. Don Clevenger officiating, directed by Godfrey-Neese Funeral Home. Mr. Burge was born in Meridian. He married Mildred Marie Alford in 1941; she died in 1998. He was a driller and had served in the US Army during World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Dolores Martin of Albany; one son, Edgar E. Burge Jr. of Albany; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
