KATHERINE (ROWLANDS) HUMPHREYS,85, died Sunday in the Rutland (Vt) Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born in Poultney, Vt., on March 19,1906,the daughter of Ellis and Catherine (Jones) Rowlands.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Warner of Rutland,Vt.and Joan Bixby of North Clarendon,Vt.; a son, Owen Humphrey of Middle Granville, N. Y.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Evan Humphreys, in 1981, and a son, John Humphreys, in 1951.
