William Klocke was born May 2, 1852 and died November 16, 1919. He was married to Miss Hennetta Wohler near Randolph, Kan., December 23, 1875. To this union nine children were born, the eldest dying in infancy and Karl B. while serving his country February 22, 1919. His daughters and two brothers survive him. Mr. Klocke was a citizen of Knox County for twenty-four years, during which time he has lived on his farm in the Bee Ridge neighborhood. He was a man of such noble integrity of character that in these years he has enshrined himself in the hearts of a large host of friends and neighbors who with the loved ones mourn his loss, He was converted and has been a consistent member of nas neen a consistant member of the Methodist Episcopal Church since the twenty-first year of his age and lived a devoted life, until like Enoch of old, God took him. When a good man dies it is the universal verdict that he has gone to be with his God. So it was with this splendid man, whose life was lived nobly, and he brought up his estimable family so that there is not one wayward member of the flock.
The funeral was conducted at the Bee Ridge Church by Rev. W. H. Chamberlain and wife, where his body was laid to rest until the trumpet of the Lord shall awake the righteous dead.
