FREDERICKA HUEBNER

Mrs. Carl Huebner, 84, nee Fredericka Groth, died last evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. August E. Duveneck, 925 South 19th street, after a lingering illness.

She was born in 1861 in Germany and came to this country with her parents when she was five years of age. The family settled in the town of Newton, and in 1882 she married Carl Huebner. The couple settled on a farm in the town of Newton. He died 49 years ago. In 1919, Mrs. Huebner moved to Manitowoc to live.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Alex Duveneck, Mrs. August Duveneck, and Mrs. Otto Meyer, all of Manitowoc, Miss Ida Huebner, of Chicago; three sons, Albert and Carl, of Manitowoc, and Henry of Liberty; two brothers, Henry and Ernest, of Manitowoc; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Korthauer, route 3, Manitowoc; 23 grandchlidren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the Fist German Evangelical church, the Rev. L. H. Koeninger officiating. Burial will be in the Newtonberg cemetery.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Friday noon until the time of services.
