Note: Thomas had, at one time, a crude grave stone inscribed "T. P. 1724", but I could not find it when I visited this cemetery in 1994, 2014, and 2017 (S. Arnold).

Thomas was baptized in Ansley, Warwickshire, England on 28 Dec 1666, the son of William Pollard and Mary Farmer. He left England and came to Billerica, Massachusetts about 1690 to where his uncle (who was also his father-in-law), Edward Farmer, had settled about 1671. He was married in Billerica Nov 1692 to his first cousin, Sarah Farmer, the daughter of Edward Farmer and Mary Moore. Thomas's mother was a sister of Sarah's father.
