Sarah was the daughter of Edward Farmer and Mary Moore of Ansley, Warwickshire, England and Billerica, Mass. She was baptized at Ansley on 1 April 1669. She was an infant when her parents brought her to New England around 1671.
Sarah was married 6 Nov 1692 to her first cousin Thomas Pollard, the son of William Pollard and Mary Farmer. Sarah's father, Edward, was a brother to Thomas's mother, Mary. Sarah and Thomas had 15 children, born in Billerica from 1693 to 1715.
