Thomas Lewis Campbell was born Oct. 28, 1926 and departed this life October 3, 2002 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a native of Winona, Missouri, but had made his home in Jacksonville for some time. Tom was a U.S. Navy veteran who served his country during W.W. II and the Korean Conflict. He avidly enjoyed fishing and after retirement delighted in the company of his grandchildren. Tom was united in marriage to Myrll Barnes of Winona and to this union one son, Steve, was born. He later married Rosalie Follon and they raised three sons, Tommy, Larry and Michael, and two daughters, Cathy and Ava. Preceding Tom in death were his father Lee Campbell of Morton's Gap, Kentucky, his stepfather, Wash Tucker, his mother Ava Norris Tucker of Winona, son Michael Campbell, and grandson Steve Campbell Jr. and sister Ann Campbell Weaver of Winona. Surviving are his wife Rosalie and sons Steve Campbell of Winona, Tommy Campbell of Marietta, Florida, Larry Campbell of Jacksonville, Florida, daughters Cathy Parker of Corpus Christy, Texas and Ava Horner of Jacksonville, Florida, one sister, Lois Campbell Barkley of Winona, Mo., half brothers Wayne Tucker of Nixa, MO, Doris Tucker, Winona, half sisters June Roberts, Sharon Davis and Judy Walker, all of Winona.
Funeral services for Tom Campbell were at the Fraser Funeral home of Jacksonville with burial at Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville, with military honor guard in attendance. Tom's sons, grandsons and a nephew served as pallbearers.
