~ Gaffney, SC - - William (Bill) Garfield Allison, 80, formerly of 294 Ford Road, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Magnolias of Gaffney.
~ Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Lorene Benton Allison and son of the late Richard Allison and Lilly Vinesett Allison.
~ Mr. Allison retired from Musgrove Mills, was a U. S. Army veteran, and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He loved hunting, fishing, woodworking and yard work.
~ Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Steve Allison and wife, Anita, of Gaffney; a daughter, Becky Powell and husband, Ricky, of Mooresboro, NC; a brother, Kelton Allison and wife, Mary, of Gaffney; a sister, Martha Lemmons and husband, Sidney, of Gaffney; a brother-in-law, Johnny Fowler; two grandchildren, Bryan Powell and wife, Jaime, and Jesse Powell and wife, Raelynn; two great-grandchildren, Waylan Powell and Willie Powell. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leon Allison and two sisters, Bertha Fowler and Louise Pierce.
~ The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Faith Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM at the Church with Rev. Mickey Mullinax and Rev. Mike Wood officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
