Born in Galway, Ireland.

Married at the Cloghan Catholic Church on the 30th of November 1872 to John William White.

They had 12 Children:

*2 Children passed away before 1911. (According to the 1911 Census)

1901 Irish Census: Mary, John and Family living in Cloghan, Offaly. Occupation: Mason. John's mother Julia is living with them.

1911 Irish Census: Living at 142 Main Street in Banagher, County Offaly. (Where Saint Paul's Parish Hall now stands) Birth year noted as 1849 by this census. Aged 62. Birth Place noted as Galway. 12 Children born 10 still living and 2 had died by the census.

During the Great War 8 sons and 2 son in laws of John and Mary's sons enlisted in the war - Connaught Rangers. Some fought in the British Army too.

Letter to, John William White. Privy Purse Office. Buckingham Palace. Sept 18, 1914. Dear Sir, The King has heard with the deepest gratification that you have 10 gallant sons and 2 gallant sons in law serving in the army. His Majesty sends you his congratulations, and hopes that you will convey the same to them, together with His Majesty's best wishes for their success, health and happiness in the noble career they have chosen. Yours faithfully, William Carrington Keeper of His Majesty's Privy Purse. Mr John White, Banagher, Offaly.

All of them returned home and survived the Great War.

On the 20th of April 1917, her husband John passed away from Phthisis (Tuberculosis) at Birr Workhouse.

On the 30th of November 1931 at her home on Cuba Avenue, Banagher. Aged 71 (By death certificate). Mary passed away from Acute Pharyngitis one week - Exhaustion.

She is buried at Saint Rynagh's Cemetery. Headstone states age as 84.
