Note Correction to her obituary below: Sue Emily was the daughter of Fred Vernon and Alta Mae Lafferty. On the 1950 Clay County, Missouri census Sue Emily and her three sisters were living with her uncle and aunt, Alfred Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Marsh. It is not known why the Lafferty sisters were living with their aunt and uncle in 1950. Added by: Farm Girl from Mo.

---She is survived by two daughters, Michelle USA Armed Services, and Billie Jo Shelton, two sons, Aaron Britton and Kevin Britton, three sisters, Fran and Buck Williams, Mary Elizabeth Lafferty, Marjorie Louise "Marge" Lafferty, five brothers, Bill and Barbara Lafferty, Bernie and Della Lafferty, Kenney Lafferty, Donald and Ernest John Lafferty; six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other relatives, and a special friend, Norman Vines, Lake of the Ozarks.
---She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Robert Lafferty, and three sisters, Donna Siens, Sarah Jane and Carol Belle Lafferty.

Buried beside her uncle and aunt, Alfred Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Marsh, in the Elmer Cemetery. Alfred Thomas & Mary Elizabeth Marsh raised her as their own.
