She married Nelson L Shova on Nov 23, 1947 in Notre Dame Church. He died Dec 21, 2003. Bertha lived in Malone and attended local schools. Places she worked: Langdon Farms, Puritan Laundry and Alice Hyde Hospital, then the North Country Dress Factory, retiring in 1984. She is survived by two daughters, Karen and David Hyneman of Watertown and Carole Robinson of Dexter NY; a daughter in law Bonnie Shova of VA; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 4 half sisters, Beatrice Warner, Susan Donahue, Madeline Perry and Linda Renault; 2 half brothers, Adrian Brooks and George Brooks. Besides her husband, she was predeceased her parents; a son, Rodney Shova; a brother, Abraham Martin; 6 sisters, Victorial Demars, Pauline Savoir, Dorothy Friend, Geraldine Rivers, Theresa Mallette and Shirley Johnston and a half sister Sandra Jarviss. Arrangements with St. Mary-Murphy-Wilcox Funeral Home. Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery.
