Solemn Requiem Highmass to be Sung at St. Peter's Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Thursday - Burial at St. Peter Cemetery
Mrs. Rose Braun, aged 65, died on Monday evening at the home of her son, Urban Braun, at Wendelin. She had been ill with cancer for several months and bedfast for the past five weeks.
Born at Wendelin, she was united in marriage in 1895 to John Brunswick at Wendelin. Mr. Brunswick preceded her in death in 1901. Her marriage to Peter Braun of St. Peter followed in 1904. His death occurred in 1931.
The deceased is survived by the following children: Albert Brunswick, Wendelin; Mrs. Sylvester Ungruhn, St. Peter; Mrs. Roman Westgerdes, Dayton; Urban Braun, Wendelin. Also surviving are the following step-children: Jacob Braun, Coldwater; Mrs. John Meindering, Maria Stein; Henry Braun, St. Marys; Mrs. John Uhlenhake, Celina; Herman Braun, Coldwater; Sister Laura, Maria Stein; sister Leberata, Cincinnati; and Ben Braun, St. Marys; 44 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; two brothers, John Schneider, Coldwater; Rudolph Schneider, Toledo; a sister, Mrs. John Harlett of St. Joe.
She was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters, a stepdaughter, Mrs. William Kessler, and two children who died in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 Thursday morning at the Catholic Church at St. Peter. Solemn requiem highmass will be sung with Rev. Fr. Weis as celebrant. Burial will be made in the St. Peter cemetery. The deceased was a member of the Ladies Altar Sodality of St. Peter's church.
