Obit: The Daily Standard - March 14, 1980 -- Urban Braun Dies at 69 -- Urban J. Braun, 69, 206 Hillcrest Dr., Coldwater, died this morning at Coldwater Community Hospital of Complications stemming from leukemia.
He was born Sept. 16, 1910 at St. Peter, the son of Peter and Rosa (Snider) Braun. On June 6, 1933, he was married in St. Peter to Eleanor Sutter, who survives with eight children, Mrs. Herman (Dorothy) Sudhoff, St. Anthnoy; Mrs. Gerhard (Rosemary) Bruns, Chickasaw; Mrs. Ernest (Betty) Meyer, Newport; Richard Braun, Philothea; Mrs. Leon (Ruth) Brunswick, St. Henry; Mrs. Roman (Marlene) Fullenkamp, Trinity, Ind.; Mrs. Richard (Kathy) Highley, St. Anthony; Mrs. Paul (Karen) Boeke, Coldwater; a half brother Albert Brunswick, Burkettsville; a half sister, Sr. Liberata, Dayton; and 32 grandchildren. One granchild, two sisters, four half brothers and three half sisters are deceased. Mr. Braun retired in 1967 from farming and retired in 1975 from the assembly department at Avco New Idea, Coldwater. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and its Holy Name Society. He also was a member of the Knights of St. John of Maria Stein.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity, the Rev. Oscar Seger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-9 p.m. Sunday at Hogenkamp's Funeral Home, Coldwater, and until the hour of services Monday.
