Mrs. S.A. Ungruhn Dies Saturday
Mrs. Hilda Ungruhn, 65, R. 1, St. Henry, died at 3:30 P.M. Saturday in Our Lady of Mercy Hosptial. Death was due to complications of cancer.
She was born September 26, 1905 in St. Peter, the daughter of the late Peter and Rosa (Schneider) Braun.
She married S.A. Ungruhn January 8, 1929 and they lived in St. Peter until last summer when they moved to St. Henry to reside with their daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Devore.
Surviving with the widower are daughter are two other daughters, Mrs. Frank (Rose Ann) Steinemann, Minster; and Mrs. Jerry (Irma) Shumaker, Fort Recovery; one sister, Mrs. Roman (Lena) Westgerdes, Fort Recovery; on brother, Urban Braun, Coldwater; five half-brothers, Jake Braun, Coldwater; Henry and Ben Braun, St. Marys; Herman, St. Henry; and Albert Brunswick, Burkettsville; two half-sisters, Sister Laura and Sister Liberata, both C.P.P.S., Regina Heights, Dayton; and five granchildren.
Two half-sisters and 1 grandchild preceded Mrs. Ungruhn in death.
She was a mbmer of St. Henry Catholic Church and its Rosary-Altar Society. She was also a member of the Married Ladies Sodality of St. Peter's Church.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Henry Church, the Rev. Joseph Hoying officiating. Burial will followed in the church cemetery.
