Westgerdes Rites Friday
Lena L. Westgerdes, 69, R. 2, Fort Recovery, died at 2 a.m. today in Lima Memorail Hospital.
She was born March 21, 1906, in St. Peter, the daughter of Peter and Rose (Schneider) Braun.
She married Roman Westgerdes in 1929 in St. Peter, and he survives with four children, Jim, Fort Recovery; Mrs. Ted (Jean) Schneble, Kettering; Mrs. Pete (Janet) Resetar, Centerville and Judy at home; a brother, Urban Braun, Coldwater; two half-brothers, Ben Braun, St. Marys; and Albert Brunswick, Burkettsville; two half-sisters, Sister Laura and Sister Liberata, both of Salem Heights, Dayton; and 10 grandchildren. A sister, three half-brothers, and three half-sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Westgerdes was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, and its Altar Sodality.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Revs. Fred Falce and Lucas officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery.
Friends may call at Brockman's Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, after 2 p.m. Thursday and Friday until the services. Rosary services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
