Lora Leona Specht was the only daughter of seven children to George Washington Specht and Nellie Roberts to reach adulthood. Her entire youth was spent in the Marshall County area and she, along with her brothers Charles and Frank, helped their parents maintain their dairy farm.
Lora married James Peter Hanson 31 Dec 1913 in Marshalltown, Iowa. Their marriage produced one daughter, Geraldine Jeanette Hansen.
At the time of her death Lora was survived by her husband Jim, her daughter and son-in-law Kenneth Blake of California, and two grandchildren; Charlotte Leona and Brad Eldon. She joined her parents and four siblings with her passing.
